About

Nicola is a contemporary artist living in Marlow, Buckinghamshire. She paints in oils and acrylics in both a figurative and abstract style.

She studied medicine, became a GP and is a member of the Medical Art Society. She has exhibited in London and locally and has had two paintings accepted by the RA Summer Exhibition. She attended a part-time course at the Slade, various workshops and has painted with the late Ken Howard in Venice and Bruges. Now retired from General Practice, she paints daily in her home studio.

“I have always been passionate about painting and am inspired by colour, light and celebration. I am drawn increasingly to a looser, more abstract approach with the focus more on sensation rather than documentation.”
