About

Nicola is a contemporary artist living in Marlow, Buckinghamshire. She paints in oils and acrylics in both a figurative and semi-abstract style.

She has attended a part-time course at the Slade, various workshops and painted with the late Ken Howard in Venice and Bruges. She has exhibited in London, locally and had two paintings accepted by the RA Summer exhibition. A former NHS doctor, she paints most days in her home studio.

“I have always been passionate about painting and am inspired by colour, light and celebration. I am drawn to a looser approach with the focus more on sensation rather than documentation.”
